StateImpact Pennsylvania reporters Reid Frazier and Amy Sisk will speak at the launch of a book edited by a University of Pittsburgh professor who studies the worldwide development of shale gas.
“The Shale Dilemma” (University of Pittsburgh Press), edited by Shanti Gamper-Rabindran, looks at how different countries have treated the rise of fracking as a way to harvest oil and gas out of rock formations previously deemed unreachable.
Frazier and Sisk will discuss their experience covering the fracking boom in places like Pennsylvania and North Dakota.
The event is free and open to the public.
