Another coal mine in Pennsylvania is closing, despite the efforts of pro-coal President Donald Trump. Though Trump has slashed environmental regulations, market forces are hurting coal’s chance for a revival.

The closure of the 4 West Mine in Greene County will cost 370 miners jobs, as StateImpact Pennsylvania recently reported.

Hear about the impact the closing will have on the miners and what the outlook for the coal industry with reporter Reid Frazier, who appeared on WITF’s Smart Talk Monday to discuss.
