Phish Phights Phracking, An On-Time Budget, And Other AM Links

Good morning –
Today’s main news: an on-time $27.15 billion state budget. Governor Corbett is expected to sign the spending plan into law today. It will be the first time Pennsylvania’s budget has been set before July 1 since the Schweiker Administration.
The budget cuts Department of Envrionmental Protection funding, and doesn’t include a natural gas drilling impact fee. That angers PennFuture.
In other news….
Federal prosecutors have indicted a Lycoming County man for allegedly damaging a natural gas pipeline.
New Jersey lawmakers have passed a statewide ban on fracking. There’s no Marcellus Shale in the Garden State, but New Jersey does have some Utica Shale.
Jam band Phish may be pro-bong water, but they’re anti-fracking water. (Phracking water?) The group is holding a three-day concert aimed at drumming up support for anti-drilling group The Coalition to Protect New York.
