Cabot Says EPA Ignored the Science On Dimock’s Water

On Tuesday, Cabot Oil and Gas released an analysis of the data used by the Environmental Protection Agency to intervene in Dimock. The EPA is currently delivering water to four households and testing the water of more than 60 homes in the Susquehanna County town based on previous water tests provided by Cabot, the Department of Environmental Protection, and the residents themselves. But Cabot says the EPA cherry-picked the data to come to a foregone conclusion. The EPA has yet to respond  to Cabot’s critique directly. For more on what Cabot has to say, here is the complete report.

Unlike PADEP, EPA hasn’t been corrupted by GOP politics and a huge influx of corporate cash, and they aren’t buying Cabot’s self-serving spin. Neither are most Pennsylvanians, who want tighter regulation and a real severance tax.
