Itching for another drilling convention, after last weekâs Shale Gas Insight conference in Philadelphia?
Youâre in luck. This October, Pittsburgh will host the third-annual Marcellus Shale Gas Environmental Summit. The event will will âbring together leading Shale Gas producers with technical and environmental experts to address the use and management of water resources in various stages of Shale gas operations,â according to the summitâs website. Topic covered will include, âWater transportation, use, treatment, and environmental impact are critical components to shale gas extraction.â
Whoâs behind the conference? Two companies that market their services to drillers: Spill containment specialist New Pig, and Select Energy Services, which provides everything from water containment units to pipeline materials, to actual drilling rigs.
