In First Web Ad, DePasquale Talks Drilling

The latest sign Marcellus Shale drilling will be a major campaign issue next year comes from Democratic Auditor General candidate Eugene DePasquale’s rollout web ad.

DePasquale is a York County state representative, and a former Department of Environmental Protection staffer.

About two minutes into the video, he promises to, “be an advocate for communities impacted by the Marcellus Shale drilling.” Looking into the camera, DePasquale continues, “on day one, I will order a review of how we monitor water pollution, to make certain that the rush for greater corporate profits doesn’t come at the expense of our health, or drinking water, or destroy the character of our communities.”
