The poll, conducted last week, takes a look at the Republican Primary race for the open seat on the <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/texas\/topic\/railroad-commission-of-texas\/\">Railroad Commission of Texas <\/a>(currently occupied by interim appointee <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/texas\/2012\/04\/12\/please-welcome-buddy-garcia-to-the-railroad-commission\/\">Buddy Garcia<\/a>). Whoever wins the primary will go on to face Democrat Dale Henry (who&#8217;ll be running for the Commission for a third time) in the general election in November.<\/p>\n<p>The poll found an edge for Panhandle Rep.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.house.state.tx.us\/members\/member-page\/?district=88\">Warren Chisum<\/a>, R-Pampa, with 58 percent of the insiders favoring him to win. 37 percent give the primary rice to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=1&amp;sqi=2&amp;ved=0CDsQFjAA&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.christicraddick.com%2F&amp;ei=ehyXT_ywBYXm2QXazLzmDQ&amp;usg=AFQjCNERJrG9BiLR8kQYDct22z4N6aCmkg&amp;sig2=BUhj-0i4OEY0u2EzECQ1uQ\">Christi Craddick<\/a>, daughter of state Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tom_Craddick\">Tom Craddick<\/a>. Only five percent favor <a href=\"http:\/\/rolandsledge.com\/\">Roland Sledge<\/a>, an energy attorney in Houston.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the choice quotes from respondents?
