We\u2019ve compiled a short list of the bills that would have an impact on energy and environment in the state for you to keep an eye on, along with some of our earlier reporting on these issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Water Hits the Floor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>On Wednesday, the House floor will consider a bill, <a style=\"font-size: 13.63636302947998px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.tx.us\/tlodocs\/83R\/billtext\/pdf\/HB00004I.pdf#navpanes=0\">HB 4<\/a>, by <a style=\"font-size: 13.63636302947998px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/directory\/allan-ritter\/\">Rep. Fees and penalties could be involved. One of the cheapest and easiest ways to increase water supply, says <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hegar.senate.state.tx.us\">Sen. Glen Hegar<\/a>, R-Katy, is to simply use less water. Some are concerned that the bill would remove protections for heritage trees. Do you want to maim or kill it?
