“Obama Wants National ‘Conversation’ on Climate Change; No Legislation Proposed”

Discussion on climate change issues hardly came up during the recent Presidential race. But at President Obama’s first press conference since winning re-election, he told reporters that his Administration has not done enough to curb global warming during his first term.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says he wants to begin a national “conversation” on climate change. At a news conference Wednesday, Obama said his administration has taken steps to combat global warming, such as sharply increasing fuel efficiency standards for cars and trucks.
