Drill Bits: A Compressor Explosion, Lawsuit And Pipeline Update

The anti-impact fee lawsuit challenges the legislation’s restrictions on local drilling, but also nondisclosure language aimed at doctors treating people harmed by drilling.

An explosion at a Susquehanna County compressor station did not cause any injuries.

The company that operates the compressor says no gas escaped from the facility, and the blast did not impact a connecting pipeline.

A proposed pipeline would cut through the Harrisburg area, into Maryland.
