city for small businesses.<\/p>\n<\/div><p>Oklahoma City is the friendliest city for small business owners, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thumbtack.com\/ok\/oklahoma-city\/\">results<\/a> of a new survey show.<\/p><p>More than 6,000 small business owners were surveyed by online job and service directory Thumbtack.com and the Kauffman Foundation, and OKC earned No. 1 rankings in nine categories.<\/p><p>On the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thumbtack.com\/ok\/\">state side<\/a> of the survey, Oklahoma ranked No. 3 behind <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/05\/08\/small-business-owners-rank-idaho-friendliest-state\/\">Idaho<\/a> and Texas.<\/p><p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div><p>The survey included small business owners who ranked states and cities on the \u201cfriendliness\u201d of various measures, such as hiring costs, regulations, tax code, zoning and ease of starting a business.<\/p>\n<\/div><p>OKC ranked No. 1 for the ease of starting a business and for its small business training programs, and also received high marks for its networking opportunities and business friendly regulations.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6402\"  class=\"wp-caption module image left\" style=\"max-width: 300px;\"><a class=\"fancybox\" title=\"On the state side of the suvey, Oklahoma ranked No. 3 behind Idaho and Texas.\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/oklahoma\/files\/2012\/05\/thumbtack-survey.jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6402\" title=\"Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey\" src=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/oklahoma\/files\/2012\/05\/thumbtack-survey-300x206.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-media-credit\">Thumbtack.com<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">On the state side of the survey, Oklahoma ranked No. 3 behind Idaho and Texas.<\/p>\n<\/div><p>Oklahoma received A-grades in 10 of 12 possible rankings, and earned its lowest ranking, a B, in the tax code category.<\/p><p>\u201cIt was easy to set up my business, and they were very supportive and offered all kinds of help and workshops to attend &#8230;
