Jantzen \/ Flickr<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n<\/div><p>Heads up, Oklahoma energy industry: The federal government is poised to start regulating <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/pennsylvania\/tag\/fracking\/\">hydraulic fracturing<\/a>, a petroleum energy consultant warned Tuesday.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou just know when regulation hits our industry bad things are going to happen,\u201d said the consultant, Richard Spears of Tulsa-based Spears and Associates, <a href=\"http:\/\/newsok.com\/oklahoma-energy-group-told-federal-oversight-is-likely-coming-to-oil-field\/article\/3647032\/?page=1\">reports<\/a> The Oklahoman&#8217;s Jay F. Marks.<\/p><\/blockquote><p><!--more-->Spears said hydraulic fracturing detractors ignore logic, history and science in opposition to a \u201cnew technology\u201d that has been used since the \u201940s, the paper reports.<\/p><p>Last month, well-known Oklahoma oil and gasman and billionaire energy investor T.
