Clerkley\u2019s attorney says the officer didn\u2019t properly identify himself and used excessive deadly force.<\/p><p>Brianna Bailey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.readfrontier.org\/stories\/bb-gun-wielding-okc-teen-was-shot-by-officer-through-fence-hole\/\">a staff writer for The Frontier reports<\/a> the boy and his friends were playing with B.B. guns in an abandoned house when Sgt. Kyle Holcomb shot him in his right hip and left thigh.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Holcomb, seen on body camera footage, was holding a handgun in one hand and his radio in the other. \u201cHey,\u201d The police officer yelled as he approached an old wooden fence. \u201cPolice department, come on out.\u201d<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>\u201cI think it\u2019s a cap gun, they are shooting something,\u201d Holcomb said into his radio as he approached the fence. \u201cShow me your hands, drop it,\u201d Holcomb yelled at Clerkley. Two seconds later, Holcomb fired four shots at the teenager. Holcomb then yells \u201cDrop the gun.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yqTjgPwkkZU\" width=\"556\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p><p>Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater decided the shooting was justified. A police spokesperson said the district attorney\u2019s office may file charges against Clerkley and his friends.<\/p><p>Clerkely\u2019s attorney plans to file a civil rights claim against the police department.<\/p><p>Bailey said the 14-year-old and his family \u201care rattled\u201d and Clerkley doesn\u2019t feel safe in the community or around police.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hanging out in Oklahoma City\u2019s Bricktown district with his friends last weekend, Clerkley couldn\u2019t eat at McDonald\u2019s or Sonic. Police officers in the area made him too nervous, he said.<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>\u201cY\u2019all really tried to kill my son for nothing,\u201d Clerkley&#8217;s mother, Cherelle Lee said. \u201cWhat if my son would have got shot in the head for nothing? Do you not like black people or something?
