Despite a looming state revenue failure, enough money was found in the state\u2019s emergency fund for repairs.<!--more--><\/p><p><a title=\"OK.govLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ok.gov\/triton\/modules\/newsroom\/newsroom_article.php?id=223&article_id=17821\" target=\"_blank\">Gov. Mary Fallin on Tuesday announced<\/a> $1.8 million from the state emergency fund \u2014 which will qualify Oklahoma for even more in federal money \u2014 to fix 65 dams that kept floodwater out of farmland and residential areas in a swath of 16 counties in south-central and eastern Oklahoma.<\/p><p>Trey Lam, executive director of the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, which oversees the dams through its local districts, says 2015 tested the limits of Oklahoma\u2019s more than 2,000 flood control dams.<\/p><p>\u201cThere are dams that have space behind them, but they don\u2019t hold water except in extreme floods.
