Herrmann<\/a>, an Oklahoma-Texas water fight with national implications.<\/p><p>The justices grappled with the <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/oklahoma\/tarrant-regional-water-district-v-herrmann\/\">30-year-old Red River Compact<\/a>, and whether a region of Texas can reach across state lines to access water in southeastern Oklahoma.<\/p><p>The two states have different interpretations of some language in the agreement. The compact gives Oklahoma and Texas \u201cequal rights\u201d to some of the water in southeastern Oklahoma.
