{"id":11173,"date":"2012-10-31T10:46:53","date_gmt":"2012-10-31T15:46:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/oklahoma\/?p=11173"},"modified":"2012-10-31T10:47:44","modified_gmt":"2012-10-31T15:47:44","slug":"vision2-battle-in-tulsa-is-greenbacks-vs-grassroots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/oklahoma\/2012\/10\/31\/vision2-battle-in-tulsa-is-greenbacks-vs-grassroots\/","title":{"rendered":"Vision2 Battle in Tulsa is Greenbacks vs. Grassroots"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Supporters of Tulsa&#8217;s Vision2 tax package have a lot more campaign cash than their opponents.<\/p><p>While Vision2 proponents have almost $600,000 on hand, anti-tax package team Citizens for a Better Vision have a war chest with about $11,000 in cash and in-kind donations, reports the <em>Tulsa World<\/em>&#8216;s Brian Barber, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tulsaworld.com\/news\/article.aspx?subjectid=334&articleid=20121031_11_A15_Althou759338&rss_lnk=1\">who sifted through campaign finance reports<\/a> filed with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Here&#8217;s the thing: When you have a bad product, you end up having to throw a lot of marketing money behind it,&#8221; said Ronda Vuillemont-Smith of Citizens for a Better Vision.<\/p><p>Her group is mostly focusing on social media, yard signs, buttons and word of mouth to get its message out, Vuillemont-Smith said.<\/p><\/blockquote><p><!--more-->The anti-Vision2 group isn&#8217;t required to file a campaign finance report because it&#8217;s organized as a limited liability corporation.
