The StateImpact team traveled about 10,000 miles in 2013 to interview Oklahomans about how government affects their lives.
The Lorraine and Wilcox refineries operated from 1915 until 1965 about 30 miles southwest of Tulsa in Creek County.
This drought might be closer to its beginning than its end, and with little warning could encompass the entire state next year.
