“SandRidge Energy Kills Poison Pill, One Director Resigns”

The Oklahoma City energy company installed the takeover prevention in November 2012 after a large shareholder asked for corporate governance changes.

The company has terminated a poison pill that would have prevented a takeover by large shareholders, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday after the stock market closed. Daniel Jordan resigned from the board of directors, according to a separate filing posted on Tuesday.
