“Okla. Electric Cooperative Awarded More Than $10M”

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced more than $136 million in loans for projects in seven states, including a western Oklahoma electric cooperative that needs more than $10 million in upgrades.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Thursday that Kiwash Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Cordell will receive $10,127,000. The money is to be used to build 178 miles of distribution line and make other system improvements.
