Apple iOS 7 Update Clogs the Internet Tubes for Ohio College Students

Downloads of Apple’s new mobile operating system caused a statewide Internet slowdown at Ohio colleges this week. Incoming Internet traffic on OARnet, the Internet service provider for Ohio public colleges and universities, spiked to about 85 percent of capacity Wednesday, compared to about 60 percent on a normal day, according to OARnet officials.
