State School Board President Will Not Seek Re-Election

State Board of Education President Debe Terhar has confirmed she will not seek re-election this fall after serving one term. Terher was elected President of the board two months after beginning her term in 2011, with support from Governor Kasich. She was re-elected in 2011.

Ohio school board President Debe Terhar will not seek re-election this fall, according to sources close to her. Terhar declined to confirm, noting that she has until 4 p.m. to file her candidacy at the board of elections. “I have until 4 o’clock,” she said. “Talk to you later.”
