Prosecutors Consider Charges for Columbus Schools Officials in Data ‘Scrubbing’

State Auditor David Yost says the findings of an investigation into data scrubbing at the Columbus Schools will be made public on Tuesday. The Columbus Dispatch reports city, county, and even federal prosecutors are combing through the evidence.

Federal, county and city prosecutors are sorting through state investigators’ findings and will decide whether Columbus City Schools employees should be charged with a crime. All the prosecutors have been briefed on the findings of state Auditor Dave Yost’s 18-month-long investigation of student-data tampering in the district.
