Ohio State University Invests More in Helping Tech Startups Grow

WOSU’s Mandie Trimble reports that Ohio State University’s Technology and Commercialization Office helps students and faculty turn technology ideas into reality. It’s part of a push by state officials for universities to make research pay off financially.

“It’s really a big undertaking in that everything that we try to do we look at: what’s the value of that? What are the outcomes we’re trying to achieve? What’s the public good? And how do we build the right eco-system to bring the right people together to take those great ideas and turn them into something that’s very impactful,” [says commercialization office official Brian Cummings].
