Harvard Students Choose Cash or Credit for Class Grade

We’ve reported previously that more universities are offering-massive open online courses, or MOOCs, to attract more students. Now Harvard University is taking a new approach to making one of its MOOCs more successful. Upon completing Intro to Computer Science, students have a choice of earning academic credit or a voucher for a discount off a future Harvard class. Inside Higher Ed reports the revenue experiment is another attempt to find a sustainable business model for MOOCs.
