Governor Kasich Suggests Deregulating Ohio Schools

In a recent speech to the Ohio Newspaper Association in Columbus, Governor Kasich threw out the word “deregulation” to describe his plans for Ohio schools. But as the Columbus Dispatch reports, neither the governor nor his press people would elaborate on any details as to what that means. The governor did, however, reiterate his intentions to draw closer ties between schools and the business community.

Gov. John Kasich said today there is a “need to bring about some deregulation” to Ohio schools, perhaps providing the strongest hint yet as to how he might achieve his goal of getting the business community more involved with educating children.
