Twenty-two candidates vied for seven open spots on Ohio’s state Board of Education.And according to unofficial results early Wednesday morning, four Democrats and three Republicans will be joining the board.Here are the unofficial results of this year's race, courtesy of the secretary of state's office:
- District 2: Republican incumbent Kathleen McGervey, 86,472 votes (42.6 percent of total votes)
- District 3: Democratic incumbent A.J. Wagner, 86,720 votes (40.4 percent of total votes)
- District 4: Democrat Pat Bruns, 112,850 votes (56 percent of total votes)
- District 5: Democrat Roslyn Painter-Goffi, 73,131 votes (33.9 percent of total votes)
- District 7: Republican incumbent Sarah Fowler, 82,931 votes (39.3 percent of total votes)
- District 8: Democrat Robert Hagan,116,024 votes (51.6 percent of total votes)
- District 10: Republican incumbent Ron Rudduck, 106,163 votes (53. 6 percent of total votes)
