There were only seven sales on Lake Winnepesaukee in April, and the prime real estate season won\u2019t get started until early summer. \u201cHopefully he\u2019s right,\u201d Thibeault says, \u201cbut one month doesn\u2019t prove it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thibeault is, however, feeling optimistic. \u201cMy own sense is that we\u2019re bouncing off the bottom.\u201d He suggests that <a href=\"\u201dhttp:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/2012\/04\/25\/2765175\/miami-home-prices-on-the-rise.html\u201d\">Granite Staters might find trends in Florida hopeful<\/a>, based on the fact that Florida and New Hampshire share a similar demographic of home-buyers. \u00a0There, according to Zillow&#8217;s chief economist Stan Humphries, &#8220;we\u2019re seeing home value appreciation rates which are quite frankly surprising at this stage of the recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cCould the era of numerous big dollar waterfront sales be returning?\u201d\u00a0That&#8217;s the question Roy Sanborn, a realtor in Meredith, NH, posed in a column on Saturday in the Laconia Daily Sun.
