House Representative Ray Gagnon of Claremont helped organize the event. He believes the conference represents a new paradigm in international economic relations. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollaboration is the new competition,\u201d Gagnon said excitedly. \u201cInstead of New Hampshire competing with Canadian provinces, and trying to steal their business &#8212; and they&#8217;re trying to steal our business &#8212; collaborating and working together will grow both of our economies.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Canada is the single biggest market for New Hampshire goods. And, according to Canada\u2019s Consul General, Patrick Binns, Canada and America exchange about $1.3 million a minute. <\/p>\n<p>Speakers and attendees spent the day discussing cross-border business partnerships, alternative energy development, and student exchange opportunities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Business owners and policy makers from New Hampshire and Canada met in Concord today to participate in the New Hampshire-Canada Economic Development Forum.
