Nationally, foreclosures and foreclosure starts are on the decline month-over-month.<\/p>\n<p>If you look at the annual data, Idaho continues to improve.\u00a0 RealtyTrac data show Idaho&#8217;s foreclosure rate has almost been cut in half since July 2011.\u00a0 But Idaho is still near the top of the list for states with the highest overall foreclosure rates.\u00a0 While the Gem State spent <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2011\/09\/21\/digging-around-for-the-roots-of-idahos-foreclosure-rate\/\" target=\"_blank\">much of last year<\/a> in the top ten, the latest data from RealtyTrac puts Idaho at 14.<\/p>\n<p>Idaho joins 38 other states where the annual measure is trending down.<\/p>\n<p>As <em>StateImpact<\/em> has reported over the last few months, Idaho&#8217;s housing market is <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/06\/07\/investors-and-new-homebuyers-square-off-in-boises-fierce-housing-market\/\" target=\"_blank\">becoming more competitive again, <\/a>especially in the Boise area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RealtyTrac data released today illustrates a mixed picture of Idaho&#8217;s housing market.
