Judicial foreclosure states, meanwhile, posted a 26 percent rise during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>As <em>StateImpact<\/em> explained in an <a title=\"States Like Idaho Drive Decrease In National Foreclosures\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/04\/12\/states-like-idaho-drive-decrease-in-national-foreclosures\/\" target=\"_blank\">earlier post<\/a>, the foreclosure process tends to move more quickly in nonjudicial foreclosure states.\u00a0 Therefore, those states appear to have cleared their backlogs of distressed homes more quickly.\u00a0 In the Treasure Valley, for example, <a title=\"Investors And New Homebuyers Square Off In Boise\u2019s Fierce Housing Market\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/06\/07\/investors-and-new-homebuyers-square-off-in-boises-fierce-housing-market\/\" target=\"_blank\">home prices have bottomed out and are now beginning to come back<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Idaho saw a 9 percent uptick in foreclosure filings from April to May, according to housing data provider RealtyTrac.
