said Otter.<\/p>\n<p>The governor is also urging local companies to ramp up hiring.\u00a0 With about 70,000 Idahoans out of work, Governor Otter asked Buy Idaho members to look at the recently passed tax credit program known as the <a href=\"http:\/\/legislature.idaho.gov\/legislation\/2011\/H0297.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Hire One Act<\/a> as an incentive to add new jobs. <!--more-->&#8220;That talent is out there,&#8221; he said.\u00a0 &#8220;That talent is out there to help you with your operations, to help you with your marketing to help you with your production plant.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Governor also brought up tax policy.\u00a0 He wants to lower both the state <a href=\"http:\/\/tax.idaho.gov\/i-1109.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">individual income tax<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/tax.idaho.gov\/i-1109.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">corporate tax<\/a>, which came as welcome news for business owner Patrick Nauman.<\/p>\n<p>Nauman is co-owner of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.weiserclassiccandy.com\/ \" target=\"_blank\">Weiser Classic Candy<\/a> in Weiser, ID.\u00a0 His company has been a member of Buy Idaho since he purchased the candy company four years ago.\u00a0 Nauman said the biggest positive impact state government could have on his business would come through lower taxes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That would be huge,&#8221;
