An Idaho economic consulting and modeling firm’s latest report details the five industries that have grown 40 percent or more since 2007.<\/p>\n

Economic Modeling Specialists Inc.<\/a>, a Moscow-based firm, says the sector with the greatest rate of growth since 2007 was the cruise ship industry.\u00a0 That growth focused heavily in coastal states, including Washington and California.<\/p>\n

One industry listed that has impacted Idaho is translation and interpretation services<\/a>.\u00a0 According to EMSI, that industry more than doubled from 2007 to 2011.<\/p>\n

Here’s EMSI’s list: <\/p>\n

1. Cruise ships (Deep Sea Passenger Transportation)<\/a><\/p>\n

2. HMO Medical Centers<\/a><\/p>\n

3. Translation and Interpretation Services<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Wet Corn Milling<\/a><\/p>\n

5. Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and Web Search Portals<\/a>
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

Idaho also saw slight growth in internet publishing and broadcasting<\/a>.\u00a0 That industry added more than 50 jobs between 2007 and 2011.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
