Janice McGeachin (R-Idaho Falls) is said to be working on legislation to reverse a number of Medicaid service cuts.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Draft legislation to reverse some of the <a title=\"Six Months In, Evaluating the Effects of a Medicaid Cut\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2011\/12\/07\/six-months-in-evaluating-the-effects-of-a-medicaid-cut\/\" target=\"_blank\">Medicaid service cuts<\/a> approved in recent years has been introduced in a House committee.\u00a0 That&#8217;s according to the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities.\u00a0 Marilyn Sword, the group&#8217;s executive director, says Rep. Janice McGeachin (R-Idaho Falls) has been working on the proposal.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. McGeachin, who chairs the House Health and Welfare Committee, could not be reached for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Less than two weeks ago, however, she urged the <a title=\"Your Guide to JFAC (Joint Finance Appropriations Committee)\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/topic\/jfac\/\">Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee<\/a> to reverse specific cuts.\u00a0 One was the cut that forces Idaho Medicaid recipients with dual diagnoses to choose between skill training to manage a mental illness and skill training to manage\u00a0developmental disabilities.\u00a0 Another was the cut that eliminated preventative and restorative dental services for adults with disabilities.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In an interview at that time, Rep.
