The only states where it might be easier to be jobless are Arkansas, New Mexico, and West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>Idaho&#8217;s per capita income is one of the <a title=\"Bottom Rung: Living On Low Wages In Idaho\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/topic\/bottom-rung\/\" target=\"_blank\">lowest in the nation<\/a> at $33,749. That&#8217;s 79 percent of the national average, $42,693.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg reports the worst places to be unemployed are Washington, D.C., Connecticut, and California. Washington D.C. and Connecticut have the <a href=\"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/tag\/wages\/\" target=\"_blank\">highest per capita personal income<\/a> in the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Idaho is one of the best states to be without a job.
