House Majority Caucus Chairman John Vander Woude, R-Nampa, said the bill is a bad move for Idaho and doesn\u2019t have enough legislative oversight. &#8211; Times-News<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>The Spokesman-Review&#8217;s<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spokesman.com\/blogs\/boise\/\" target=\"_blank\">Eye on Boise blogger <\/a>Betsy Russell reports committee members had a difficult time deciding whether to support the new exchange legislation.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Rep. Christy Perry, R-Nampa, said, \u201cEvery state in the union is going to have an exchange. \u2026 It\u2019s just a matter of who\u2019s actually going to operate it.\u201d She said, \u201cIdaho is actually taking a stand and protecting its citizens rather than just handing everything over to the federal government.\u201d &#8211; Eye on Boise<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Gov. C.L. &#8220;Butch&#8221; Otter supports the creation of a state-based exchange. The original proposal to build the online insurance marketplace was developed in his office.
