Another 30 will remain with the program, which will concentrate on licensing LED technologies Micron has developed. One hundred and 10 employees have taken other jobs within Micron.&#8221; &#8211; Idaho Statesman<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div>\n<p>Company spokesman Dan Francisco <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idahostatesman.com\/2012\/12\/12\/2379144\/micron-scales-back-led-program.html#storylink=twt\" target=\"_blank\">tells the Statesman<\/a> economic challenges and increased competition in the LED market pushed Micron executives to make the decision.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s also what forced Micron to <a title=\"Update: Transform Solar Received $1.68 M In State Training Grants Before Announcing Layoffs\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/06\/01\/update-transform-solar-received-1-68-million-in-state-training-grants\/\" target=\"_blank\">shutter it&#8217;s solar company<\/a> earlier this year.
