Dean Cameron<\/a>, R-Rupert, will continue to chair the panel.\u00a0 Although, as the <em>Spokesman Review<\/em> reports, the Finance Committee has a large number of new members.<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Among them: Sens. Steve Vick, R-Dalton Gardens; Sheryl Nuxoll, R-Cottonwood; Cliff Bayer, R-Boise; Dan Johnson, R-Lewiston; Steven Thayn, R-Emmett; Dan Schmidt, D-Moscow; and Roy Lacey, D-Pocatello.\u00a0 Sen. Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint, continues as vice chair; and Sen. Dean Mortimer, R-Idaho Falls, will continue to serve on the panel.<\/p>\n<p>Vick, a second-term senator, said he&#8217;s wanted to get on the joint committee since he arrived in the Senate. \u201cNot everybody likes to do it, because it is a lot of work and a lot of numbers,\u201d he said. \u201cI spent eight years in the appropriations committee in Montana.\u201d Vick said the panel, which writes the state budget, is \u201cthe most important committee,\u201d and said his goal there will be to \u201ckeep government spending\u00a0low.\u201d &#8212; Eye on Boise, Spokesman Review<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On the House side, 13-term <a title=\"Meet State Rep. Maxine Bell\" href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/topic\/maxine-bell\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rep.
