He says he sees the laws as &#8220;handcuffing teachers&#8221; in ways that he believes aren&#8217;t fair for teachers or children.\n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/11\/06\/election-day-idahoans-cast-their-votes-on-propositions-1-2-and-3\/bill-bourland-debra-mulnick\/'><img width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Bill-Bourland-Debra-Mulnick-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-12795\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Bill-Bourland-Debra-Mulnick-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Bill-Bourland-Debra-Mulnick-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Bill-Bourland-Debra-Mulnick-60x60.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt>\n\t\t\t\t<dd class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-12795'>\n\t\t\t\tDebra Mulnick, a retired nurse, and Bill Bourland, a vascular surgeon, both voted no on Propositions 1, 2 and 3.  &#8220;I think there&#8217;s this trend toward corporatizing education, and I&#8217;m thoroughly opposed to that,&#8221; Bourland said.  &#8220;I think that&#8217;s a really destructive trend.&#8221;\n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/11\/06\/election-day-idahoans-cast-their-votes-on-propositions-1-2-and-3\/brad-larrondo-ers\/'><img width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Brad-Larrondo-ERS-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-12816\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Brad-Larrondo-ERS-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Brad-Larrondo-ERS-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Brad-Larrondo-ERS-60x60.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt>\n\t\t\t\t<dd class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-12816'>\n\t\t\t\tBrad Larrondo, who works in Boise State University&#8217;s athletic department, voted no on Propositions 1, 2 and 3.  \u201cI did feel like some control was being taken away from the classroom and the teachers,&#8221; he said.  &#8220;I voted no in order to try to have teachers have a better opportunity to teach kids, and not have it be online.\u201d \n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl><br style=\"clear: both\" \/><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/2012\/11\/06\/election-day-idahoans-cast-their-votes-on-propositions-1-2-and-3\/asa-battista\/'><img width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Asa-Battista-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-12793\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Asa-Battista-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Asa-Battista-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/files\/2012\/11\/Asa-Battista-60x60.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt>\n\t\t\t\t<dd class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-12793'>\n\t\t\t\tAsa Battista, an acupuncturist, voted no on Propositions 1, 2 and 3.  &#8220;If you have a plan to revamp everything, it should be known before you get elected into office, so people know what they&#8217;re getting into,&#8221; Battista said.\n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl>\n\t\t\t<br style='clear: both' \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p title=\"What Idaho Voters Need To Know About Propositions 1, 2, And 3\">The most potent statewide issue on this Election Day is the tug-of-war over <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/idaho\/tag\/propositions-1-2-3\/\" target=\"_blank\">Propositions 1, 2 and 3<\/a>.
