Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories\u00a0says it plans to hire 350 new employees.<\/p>\n

In a press release, the company says it needs more employees “to meet the increased customer demand for their products and services.”<\/p>\n

SEL is an engineering company with area facilities in Pullman, WA and Lewiston, Idaho.<\/p>\n

The job openings are for positions in manufacturing, research and development, human resources, accounting, information technology, and business. <\/p>\n

The company is hosting an open house this afternoon from 4:30 to 7:00 at their manufacturing location in Pullman.<\/p>\n

A Career Opportunities Open House will be held on Wednesday, September 12, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at SEL\u2019s manufacturing building in Pullman, located at 2440 NE Hopkins Court. SEL invites anyone interested in working at SEL to attend the open house and learn more about the many rewarding career opportunities. Tours will be given of the 200,000 square-foot state-of-the art manufacturing floor, and interviews will be conducted on-site for assemblers. Representatives will accept resumes and answer questions about SEL culture and share how exciting it is to be part of a 100 percent employee-owned company.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSEL continues to grow as we invent new products and reach new markets. We are looking for great people who want to learn and grow with us,\u201d said Chief Operations Officer Nancy Hindman. \u201cWe will hire at least 150 new assemblers and another 200 employees in various disciplines at multiple SEL locations.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

SEL\u2019s growth has been dynamic. Originally serving the electric utility industry, the company now serves many industries, including pulp and paper, mining, and commercial buildings. The invention of new products and services, along with global expansion, has driven growth substantially in the past several years.
