But tomorrow,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Main_Page\">Wikipedia<\/a>\u00a0will globally black out the English version of its site.<\/p>\n<p>And the\u00a0co-founder of the free, online encyclopedia,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jimmy_Wales\">Jimmy Wales<\/a>,\u00a0is looking out for procrastinating students.<\/p>\n<p>On Twitter, Wales said, &#8220;Student warning!\u00a0Do your homework early. Wikipedia protesting bad law on Wednesday.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wikipedia is protesting proposed federal anti-piracy bills &#8211; the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thomas.loc.gov\/cgi-bin\/query\/F?c112:1:.\/temp\/~c112GfQgb3:e1014:\">Stop Online Piracy Act\u00a0(SOPA)<\/a> in the House and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gpo.gov\/fdsys\/pkg\/BILLS-112s968is\/pdf\/BILLS-112s968is.pdf\">Protect IP\u00a0Act (PIPA)<\/a> in the Senate.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If passed, Wikipedia officials say the laws would\u00a0endanger free speech and bring new tools to censor international websites.<\/p>\n<p>There are more than 3.8 million English articles on Wikipedia. But from 5AM GMT tomorrow through 5AM GMT Thursday, visitors will see a note encouraging them to contact Congress in protest.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is going to be wow,&#8221; Wales said on Twitter. &#8220;I hope Wikipedia will melt phone systems in Washington on Wednesday.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Should students use Wikipedia for help with homework?
