Its $950 for out-of-state students. That\u2019s three times more expensive because Caroline\u2019s dad is not a legal Florida resident. And in Florida, college tuition is based on a parent\u2019s residency for unmarried students under age\u00a025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I\u2019m a citizen, I\u2019m a resident, I was born here. I\u2019ve been going to Miami-Dade schools my entire life and now all of a sudden I\u2019m considered out-of-state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I don\u2019t think that\u2019s fair, it\u2019s not my father going to school it\u2019s me.
