Catherine <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/florida\/2011\/09\/07\/inside-the-school-testing-business-education-complex\/#comments\">questioned<\/a> the relationship:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I think it is significant that Pearson makes both testing and remedial materials. Shouldn&#8217;t that be a conflict of interest?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Republican 2012 presidential hopefuls traveled to Tampa for a Tea Party-hosted debate this week. <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/florida\/2011\/09\/12\/why-you-wont-hear-much-about-education-at-the-gop-debate-in-tampa\/#comments\">CpmforRP2012<\/a> took issue with our <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/florida\/2011\/09\/12\/why-you-wont-hear-much-about-education-at-the-gop-debate-in-tampa\/\">characterization<\/a> of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul&#8217;s education plan and that its scope went beyond homeschooling:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If you would read Dr. Paul&#8217;s section on homeschooling you would see that it is not only about homeschooling. It also talks about getting rid of the one-size-fits-all education system that clearly is not working now, and implementing an education system that is locally based.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And StateImpact Florida&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/florida\/maps\/map-average-teacher-salaries-in-florida\/\">county-by-county map<\/a> of teacher salaries continues to spark discussion. Reader <a href=\"http:\/\/stateimpact.npr.org\/florida\/maps\/map-average-teacher-salaries-in-florida\/#comments\">Bryan Adams<\/a> said it&#8217;s no incentive to teach:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Makes you want to encourage all your students to go into education!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Keep the comments coming.
