Eve Elementary School, Miami-Dade County<\/li>\n<li>Killearn Lakes Elementary School, Leon County<\/li>\n<li>Westlake Christian School, Palm Harbor<\/li>\n<li>Lincoln Avenue Academy, Polk County<\/li>\n<li>Partin Elementary School, Seminole County<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a letter to parents, Killearn Lakes Principal Brenda McGalliard said, \u201cThis kind of recognition only comes after the total commitment from the entire school community and a lot of hard work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Department of Education will honor leaders from 264 public and 50 private schools at a recognition ceremony in Washington, DC next week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida has nine winners in this year\u2019s National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, out of 314 schools chosen nationwide.
