The simulator was created by the Florida State University Lab School.<\/p>\n<p>Seven teams with five students each will be selected from the top scorers of the regional qualifier competition.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>But teams have to ace a qualifying exam first.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.astronautchallenge.com\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=50&amp;Itemid=60\">The qualifier exam will be given at three locations<\/a> in north, central and south Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Contestants will answer 100 multiple-choice questions based on the Student Astronaut Challenge Manual.<\/p>\n<p>Students will compete as a five-person team, so one bad test score could eliminate the entire team from contention.<\/p>\n<p>Teams that make the cut will vie for first place at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.astronautchallenge.com\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=49&amp;Itemid=57\">the state competition in Tallahassee<\/a> March 8-10, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s competition is dedicated to astronaut <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jsc.nasa.gov\/Bios\/htmlbios\/armstrong-na.html\">Neil Armstrong<\/a>, who died in August at age 82.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Want to prove you have the right stuff?
