These rankings focus on quality of teaching, great career prospects, high graduation rates and low levels of debt.<\/p>\n<p>The list includes private and public institutions, and Florida has just one entry in the top 100.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here are the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/top-colleges\/list\/\"> Florida schools that made the list and their rankings<\/a>, according to Forbes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">80. \u00a0University of Florida<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">132. University of Miami<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">189. New College of Florida<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">193. Florida State University<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">207. Rollins College<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">266. Eckerd College<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">336. Stetson<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">427. University of North Florida<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">449. University of South Florida<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">453. Florida Institute of Technology<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">455. Florida Southern College<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">462. University of Central Florida<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">465. University of Tampa<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">490. Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/newsweek\/galleries\/2012\/08\/05\/college-rankings-2012-least-rigorous-schools-photos.html\">Least Rigorous Schools<\/a>, Florida has three entries in the top 5.<\/p>\n<p>The list from Newsweek considers student workload and student-to-faculty ratio. It also weighs the median SAT and ACT scores of students.<\/p>\n<p>The report says \u201cthese are the colleges where accepted students find the workload easiest when normalized by the aptitude of the student body.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Florida institutions considered the least rigorous and their ranking:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1.\u00a0 University of Central Florida<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2.\u00a0 Florida State University<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4.\u00a0 University of South Florida<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">14. Florida Atlantic University<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">21. University of Florida<\/p>\n<p>No Florida schools made the &#8220;most rigorous&#8221; list. But one did make the Most Beautiful list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/newsweek\/galleries\/2012\/08\/05\/college-rankings-2012-most-beautiful-schools-photos.html#slide14\">Rollins College came in at number 13<\/a> based on \u201cthe attractiveness of guys and girls on campus, as well as the campus and architectural aesthetics.\u201d The beautiful list also considers the amount of sunshine and humidity.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Newsweek released its list of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/newsweek\/galleries\/2012\/08\/05\/college-rankings-2012-top-party-schools-photos.html\">Top Party Schools<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Florida had three schools in the top 25: University of Florida, Florida State University, and Rollins College.<\/p>\n<p>The report \u201cconsidered the number of on-campus arrests and per-student disciplinary actions for drugs and alcohol&#8230;Bonus points were given to campuses that landed on Princeton Review\u2019s most recent rating of the top party schools and top beer-drinking campuses.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For those who love higher education rankings, the last week has been a bonanza.
