Exxon Mobile Plans Multi-Billion Dollar Chemical Plant in Baytown

Reuters is reporting that Exxon Mobile will cut costs by powering a new chemical plant with natural gas it’s drilling. The low cost of that gas could give the oil and gas giant a competitive edge in the chemical business.


NEW YORK (Reuters) – Exxon Mobil Corp , the world’s largest publicly traded energy company, plans to build a multi-billion dollar chemical plant in Texas to take advantage of cheap North American shale gas, according to a U.S. environmental filing seen by Reuters.
