“UK Shale Gas Firm to Install Earthquake Monitors”

Last year Cuadrilla Resources had to shut down their drilling operations in Blackpool, England after it caused small earthquakes. Drilling has started up again, with earthquake monitors.

LONDON (Reuters) – Cuadrilla Resources, a UK shale gas company, will improve monitoring of earth tremors at its drilling sites, over a year after the government ordered it to stop hydraulic fracturing operations there temporarily after minor earthquakes nearby.
