“New Film in Defense of Fracking”

An Irish cou­ple who have pro­duced doc­u­men­taries crit­i­cal of the envi­ron­men­tal move­ment are work­ing on a pro-fracking film enti­tled “Frack Nation.” The film­mak­ers say it is meant to rebut the pop­u­lar anti-fracking film “Gasland.”

Ann McEl­hin­ney and Phe­lim McAleer, the Irish pair behind the 2008 doc­u­men­tary “Not Evil Just Wrong,” which chal­lenged Al Gore’s “An Incon­ve­nient Truth,” is in the begin­ning stages of a new film, titled “Frack Nation.” They also pro­duced “Mine Your Own Busi­ness,” which exam­ined the “dark side of envi­ron­men­tal­ism,” accord­ing to its website.
