“Flooding may pose some issues for Northeast gas pipelines”

Sev­eral major inter­state nat­ural gas pipelines run through north­east Penn­syl­va­nia and upstate New York. Flood­ing from Hur­ri­cane Irene has meant some gas flows have been rerouted.

Hous­ton (Platts)–28Aug2011/615 pm EDT/2215 GMT Sev­eral major nat­ural gas pipelines in the US North­east appear to have weath­ered Hur­ri­cane Irene thus far, though at least one oper­a­tor said flood­ing may cause some issues after the storm has passed.
