“EQT Receives Federal Clearance to Begin Long-Planned Marcellus Shale Pipeline Construction Project”

In addition to the 41-mile pipeline, a compressor station is planned for Greene County. The pipeline will help producers get Marcellus gas to the high-demand Mid-Atlantic market.


PITTSBURGH, Sep 21, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — EQT Corporation, one of the Marcellus Shale region’s largest natural gas exploration, production and midstream companies, today announced that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has given its subsidiary, Equitrans, L.P. notice to proceed with construction of a new natural gas pipeline in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
